Guest Rooms

Antique treasures galore inspired this cozy and comfortable bedroom! It invokes memories of a big hug from Grandma without feeling old fashioned or dated. The sage green and creamy white color scheme is made even warmer with touches of coral and golden yellow along with the dark wood tones. All of the bird and bee details give it a sweet whimsy that I absolutely love. See the bees on the sheets! Eeeks! There is a lot of cuteness in this bedroom without it looking childlike. The only thing it needs is a cup of tea and some homemade biscuits!

I designed this bedroom for a local Airbnb in a 1950s home. My client gave me total freedom in designing all of the bedrooms which made it extra fun. I chose a pale green paint and this gorgeous wallpaper for a serene yet whimsical feel. The calming blues and greens with punches of peach and dark wood elements give it a warm and inviting atmosphere. This room is also the perfect balance of new items and thrifted accents that I strive for in each design.

I have a client who wants her entire basement redone, so we have been taking it room by room. She has endless antiques and family heirlooms, so we are trying to incorporate those while giving it all a more updated, cohesive look with plenty of personality. I knew that a whimsical wallpaper accent wall would give this twin bedroom the pop that it needed. I changed the furniture arrangement to free up some space for a sitting area, gathered fun art and decor for the walls, used natural textured rugs and overhead lighting, and pulled from her own collection of treasures to pull it all together. This room illustrates how a space devoid of natural light and windows can still be bright and fun with the proper design, decor, and lighting.

If you know me well, you know that pink is my favorite color, so when anyone allows me to do a pink room, I am thrilled!! This little twin room is so bright, happy, and snuggly. On the day of installation, the window was open and the intoxicating scent of a lilac bush was wafting through the room. It was truly heaven, and I could have stayed forever. I painted the boho art above the beds and found most of the decor and furniture at local peddlers malls and on FB Marketplace. The pink, ivory, and golden yellow tones coupled with tons of texture really gave this bedroom a lot of depth and interest. It’s a ray of sunshine all year round!
